Masculine and Feminine – The Sexual Energies

I want to introduce you to the concept of the two sexual energies: Masculine and Feminine.

To be clear, we’re NOT talking about men and women or male and female. Men and women have BOTH sexual energies within them. But usually, one predominates. This is our natural state.

In men it’s usually masculine (but not always) and in women it’s usually feminine (but not always). For the purposes of this article, we’ll assume a masculine man and a feminine woman.

At different times, we step into different roles. A guy who’s predominantly masculine will shift into his feminine when a situation requires.

Conversely, a very feminine woman will sometimes step fully into her masculine. For example, when she’s not feeling safe or comfortable or when she needs to be more decisive or take on a leadership role (this is commonly seen in the workplace).

It’s VITAL for there to be polarity between the two sexual energies in an intimate relationship. Without polarity, there is no passion.

Understanding YOUR primary sexual energy is the first step.

Let’s run through this comparison between the feminine and the masculine. With which do you most relate?

If you’re a guy and you’re fairly masculine, are you living in that masculine state? Are you being decisive? Leading? Making decisions? Taking away all the problems and worries of the feminine, allowing her to open up to you?

If you’re a feminine woman, are you living in that beautiful state? Playful, free-flowing, affectionate, chaotic, colourful, creative?

Or are you being forced out of your natural state? Often, when the feminine doesn’t trust the masculine core of her partner, she will step into her masculine to feel safe. The polarity goes, and with it, passion and attraction.

Let’s dive even deeper with some notes I’ve taken at seminars over the years:

Developing your understanding of the two sexual energies will completely transform your relationships (intimate and platonic).

The masculine man needs to learn to embrace the feminine force of life, no matter how wild and destructive it becomes.

The feminine woman needs to not shrink when faced with the strong, powerful presence of her man.

We must learn to trust the wisdom of the masculine and its ability to act clearly in spite of emotions and to embrace the wisdom of the feminine and it’s inherent intuition and focus on love.
